How which would it cost to get my radiator recored or would it be cheaper to buy a new one

If your radiator is original, I would advise you to re- core it. This way the inlet and outlet is in the right place as well as the mounting bracket holes. You would also have the period part # if you are working on originality.
This is of course that the tanks are in good shape. I have done this for four cars and I also went to a three row core. This was a few years back so I'm not sure of today's costs. I also think it might be hard to find a new one that would truly fit your car.

My local shop quoted me a re-core for $400 and keeping the upper and lower tanks. I went with a rod out of the rust but will someday go for the re-core option.
