Helpo! I am needing to either buy a new fuel sender or figure out how to re-condition one for my 59 Fury. Can anyone help me with some advice or direction? Thank you - John Middleton APPRAZE@EARTHLINK.NET

John - I've seen new ones on ebay for $90.00.

Word has it though, from several folks that have bought these new senders, that the resistance values are incompatible with the stock gauges, and will never read correctly. If you can find a factory Mopar unit, or a used one in good condition, you are much better off. ---John

Thank you both for the response. I think I might take the tank down myself and look to see if it might be a faulty floater - hoping that it is!!! Anyone else have any suggestions please - most welcome - John

Check for loose or dirty connections as well. It is fairly common for the float to develop a pinhole and sink. ---John

Thats what happened to mine awhile back. Float developed a crack in seam and wouldn't "float". I replaced it and it has been working fine since. Don't know if this was mentioned but check ground wire to see if you have good ground.
