59 Savoy 4dr for Sale
I have a 59 Savoy 4dr. The car has been sitting since the mid 90's. No motor or tranny, though it came from factory w/slant 6 and 3 on the tree. Last it was on the road, it had a 318 w/auto (worn out, pulled out). The motor mounts were built by a P.O., and look horrible. But very fixable. The car is in good enough shape to restore, or would make an awesome parts car. Good glass (except windshield, has a new crack), doors, fenders, quarters, hood, trunk lid, all of the chrome is there (except the passenger front door) and almost all is straight, door handles, window cranks, mirrors, steering wheel, and dash controls are there. The four hubcaps on look to be from the period, but don't know if they're original.
The quarters do have some rust right behind the wheel, the front doors have some small rust spot and the bottom rear corners, and the valance/roll pan between the rear bumper and license plate is rusted thru just below the lic. plate. The front bumper looks slightly tweaked, and the lower front valance is hammered. The fins are looonnnggg, tall, and in good shape. Has the inside unit for add-on air (old,condition unknown), and 6 direction front seat (bench). The rear end is out of a late 60's car (not orig.), if I remember correctly.
I drove the car in the mid 90's. When the motor went south I pulled it as the first step in my restoration. Never took a second step, and here it sits. I've recently acquired a classic truck and the car is in the way, on the back burner too long, and needs a caring owner. I hate to get rid of her, but it's time. Like I said. This car could be restored, or would make an awesome parts car.
I have seen these cars in much worse shape go for $1200+ at swap meets. My asking price is $1300.
