i haven't decided for sure, but i think i may convert the savoy to a pushbutton auto. i've been kinda on the fence about the subject, it is a nice option, and i also got a tranny w/ my recent 340 purchase. could i use this tranny with the older controls, i have never seen an original push button tranny so i don't know if it is feesable or not. i have not checked to see what tranny i've got, i'm guessing its a 904 torqueflight, but that's a guess, have not looked that hard. what is ya'lls imput? --j

how do the controls hook up to tranny? - r the buttons cable operated? i have 2 or 3 levers on the transmission,- way different to me since i'm used to gm hydromatics(only one lever)
. now is as good as anytime to take a crash course in mopar trannies i recken. 
now if i ever get my lazy butt up i will take some pics of the tranny and 340 and post them here. i've got them sitting in the bed of my truck w/ some plastic over them so they don't get totally ruined, not like it'll matter to the 340 anywho, it's already pretty nasty, but not siezed as of yet though. we're still getting tons of rain here, record amount in time period. looks like my shop will never dry out enough for cement at the rate we're going. 
-i think i will go automatic. should compliment the V8 power nicely. 
i'll go 6 cylinder and 3 sp manual w/ overdrive on my next plymouth. (aint that something, i don't even have batmobile in any symblence of driving condition and i'm already talking about my next car..
