local sport fury convertible

Post by rogerh »

I learned of a local Sp F a few years ago..it was parked in a garage, reportedly up on blocks, with the brakes "locked". The owner Louie Rice was just lettting it sit. Recently I tried the phone number I had for him, but it was disconnected.
Then Dan Corrigan told me a lady was looking for a SP F owner to bring her the car so that she could see how Fury upholstery should be done. I brought my car in ; she was very happy to see it. While the car was at the museum (the LeMay Car Museum, I can tell the whole story later), a man came up to admire the car..he said he knew Louie Rice and the convertible, he said he had the swivel seats from that car as well as the air cleaner and the fliteswep decklid. He asked me what each was worth. If you have been in my position, you will nderstand that the attitude of the seller comes into play. This guy was arrogant, and I didnt want to deal with him. So the result is I was not able to pin down the new owner of the cvt. I stillhave a slim lead and I will work on finding this car...
