Illinois '59 Sport Fury

Post by Fins59 »

This past Sunday at the Tomahawk, Wisconsin car show I ran into a fellow who was very enthused about my Sport Fury. In talking to him he mentioned he was from Grays Lake, IL and was restoring (or restored) a '59 Sport Fury for somebody. I just talked to him a short while but he mentioned the car had a 440 and acqua/blue interior (I think NOS material). I didn't get any names and forgot to mention this website to him. I assume he was vacationing in the Tomahawk area. Tomahawk is in Northern Wisconsin - lots of lakes and woods. I was just wondering if the Illinois owner is a member of this site?

It appears he is not a member.
I've been thinking we all should carry a few business cards with the 59SportFury.net website information on them, for handing out at shows or wherever.

Right on Roger. I've been meaning to do that for quite some time now. I even bought card stock a couple years ago to do them myself (actually have one of my kids do it) on the computer. I plan on reducing a pic of my car and have it on there with wording "Plymouth Enthusiast" or "Sport Fury Enthusiast" or something like that. It sure would beat searching for scraps of paper to write on at car shows or swap meets. And those little notes seem to get lost more easily than a card would. Now...if I can find that card stock I bought a couple years ago......
