"poker" members

As folks may have noticed, we've been getting lots of new "members" with poker pursuits. I've changed the policy so that I have to approve all membership; still, they appear as members pending approval (although they can't post anything). I'm not sure if this version of phpBB has a way to disallow membership until I approve, but until I figure it out, we'll continue to be pestered by these robots...

We thought you started gambling to get fast cash for the engine overhaul, or selling advertising space for the same purpose

Actually, that's a good idea -- not for the engine rebuild, but for a new computer. I was so tired moving, I bounced my computer on the carpet when I reached the last step... Now the C: drive is gone. Fortunately, I've been backing up the data to a secondary drive, and that's fine. But now I have to rebuild a new computer  Just another excuse for not webmastering...

Dan, after reading this I strongly advise you not to gamble this week. First the trouble with Faulkner and now dropping your computer on the floor, this isn't your lucky week I guess.

On the other hand if you wouldn't have had a carpet there you could have crushed your back up drive too
