Windshield Washer

I am attempting to transfer the windshield washer assembly from my 4-door Fury to my Sport Fury. I noticed there is a block of 6 wires attached to the washer pedal bracket under dash. Anybody know what these wires are for? I thought this system was a "pump vacuum" type. Can't find nothing in the '57-'58 or '59 supplement manual covering the washer system.

Yesterday, while tinkering with my cars, I noticed that the 6 wire block attached to windshield washer pedal bracket is indeed related to pedal action. When pedal is depressed, a little pin type rod is drawn up out of the wire block. What the heck is the purpose of this? As I mentioned before, I thought the system was a pump action thingamajig, not electrical. Will eventually trace where these wires go to but haven't gotten that far yet.

pushing on the pedal pumps the water (there is no electrical pump). The electrical connection starts your wipers going...I can't remember if they stay on or shut themselves off.

Thanks Roger, mystery solved. Man, that was bugging me. Nighthawk, I checked my manuals, 57-58 and 59 supplement but can't find anything, even in wiring diagrams. You would think it would be in there somewhere, unless I overlooked it. Will have to check again.

I also can find no wiring diagram or schematic, ...all I can find is the exploded view in the Accessories section of the 59 Parts Book.
