Post by narleycharlie »

Lot s of you folks out there have some fine looking cars. For the people who have done restorations, where do you get the front windshield and rear window seals? Are they universal or OEM?Any help would be great. Thanks Charlie
If you don t ask for it,don t whine if you don t get it.(This goes for anything in life.)

Gary Goers has them. Front window top and lower and rear window top and lower. All $85 a piece. You'll need all so you will need 4 of them

I re-used my old one. Goers is good quality..he will tell you it is reproduction w/s, so you must cut it to length and glue the ends together.

Many thanks,How was you able to save your old one Roger?Did you bust out the glass to keep the sealgood or was you able to work the seal out without damage?A buddy of mine with a bodyshop said if you can get the old one out damage free to soak it in laquer thinner, it puts life back into old rubber. My seals are all cracked up and I need a new windshield. Thanks again, Charlie

well, even after all those years of sitting outdoors in the Iowa weather, I simply slathered dishwashing liquid and water on the rubber, found the "key" to pull on, and unzipped the weatherstrip.
I do have some "used "w/s, but I honestly cannot tell what fits what...
you will do okay with Gary Goers product.
