Original Battery for 1959 Plymouth.

I would like to replace my battery with The original type that came in the car . I have seen the batteries that are made by new castle battery with yellow or green caps for Mopar vehicles but they dont cover 1959. I was wondering if these batteries are correct or did they use some other brand like Autolite.

You; might be correct in your guess that they used AutoLite

I would like to add that a specialty battery company (the name escapes me at the moment) sells longlife batteries encased in Mopar Tar top battery housings...kinda cool

I decided to order the Mopar reproduction battery from New Castle battery company. It's a maintenance free battery and it should look close to the original.
