My "59 Plymouth Convertibe "Old Flossie"

Post by james.gourniak-sr. »

Hi....Jim Gourniak Sr. here, I was on this forum about 15 years ago. I had a 59 Plymouth Belvedere Convertible.. Had to sell it, broke my heart, but 'ya gotta do what 'ya gotta do... I just was thinking about the old girl and typed 59 Plymouth Convertible into the search engine, and lo and behold old "Flossie" popped up. My mother's name was Florentine, (yes, this predated Christine) and she hated that car in her back yard, until I did an "80s level restoration on her and named her after Mom. She (Mom) and her mother, learned to love Flossie after I hauled them around in her in a couple of local parades back in the day..

But like a big dummy I never had many pictures of old Flossie (the 59, not my Mom) and I was overjoyed to see that the guy who bought it had placed a bunch of pictures on here... Yes, Hillary, there is a God!!

I'll probably never get my paws on another one like "Old Flossie", but is sure a pleasure to be able to get back to the people who enjoy them...
