Hi fellas,
I've made the decision to keep this car as it pains me to see it go. I wanted to sell it to realise some finances for a new business but that has fell through anyway so I get to keep my car.
I'll get some pictures for the showcase as soon as this rain stops (so probably about august then :-) ).
Regards,
Ian.

Ian -- you made the right choice!! I'm so glad. For that, the clouds will part and the sun will shine!

I think you guys are right, it would have been painful to sell the car but I figured that sometimes you need to make sacrifices, but I'm kinda glad in some ways that things didn't work out and I get to keep it.
I've been to most parts of the UK in this car and even many parts of Europe, and it's fun all the time.
Next year it's destined to do become the tow car for my mates nostalgia dragster which I'm quite looking forward to. Should look a cool combination.
Regards,
Ian.

Good choice Ian!! When you are the man in the UK who's interest it is to Preserve Forward Look Mopars you shouldn't sell one. I read your stories about trips to Sweden, any chances you'll visit the Netherlands with your Suburban? I was supposed to meet Fred (Diesel 45) this summer with his 58 at the Rock&Roll festival in Hoevelaken. Unfortunately the festival is cancelled for this year, maybe I should come to some meetings in the UK?
Any suggestions for Forward Look meetings in July?

Mopar Shows

Post by Ian »

Hi Ron,
I've been to both Germany and Holland for their Mopar Nationals. I was at the first Mopar Show in Holland a couple of years ago which was held at a diner somewhere between Utrecht and Amsterdam, (I can't remember exactly). The show in Germany is at Datteln and I have been there a few times also.
I don't have any plans to come over this year but I know my friend will be going to Germany so I may just end up over there again.

If you fancy a trip to England in July then the Rally of the Giants show is a must. It is held at Knebworth House, Stevenage, Hertfordshire which is about 1 hour or so from the Hoek-Harwich ferry. This is a show for older american cars and you will see many vehicles from the early 20s & 30s upto the very early 60s. This is also the show where we usually get the most forward look cars attending.
Camping is on site or there is a motel at the end of the entrance road. If you need more details Ron, please let me know.
Regards,
Ian.
