What I'm thankful for

Post by Faulkner »

My son recently took a job in Austin, Texas, leaving behind a house full of his possessions. Last Wednesday, I packed up a 20-foot U-Haul full of his stuff, and on Thursday and Friday - 14 hours, each day - I drove on two lane highways loaded with semis, often at 80 mph. My only companion, this guy:

...and then on Saturday, I got to unload it all with my son! I flew home on a flight delayed because of high winds, due to a significant drop in temperature. (*sigh*...) It looks like it will be awhile, before I spend any time in the garage.

But this Thanksgiving, I'm glad to have put this ordeal behind me, and I'm grateful to still be alive! I'm wishing all of my car buddies, home and abroad, a very Happy Thanksgiving.
