59 Belvedere Six 2-Door Hardtop on Forward Look
Nick Nichols, a new user on Forwardlook.net, is posting his 59 Belvedere 2-door hardtop for sale on the Forward Look web site. It has the 3.8 liter six-cylinder engine and three-speed manual shift transmission, and is in good original condition. Following is a description of the car in his words:
Good running '59 Plymouth Belvedere 2dr ht. 230 flathead 6 cylinder engine with standard 3-speed transmission. Excellent clutch. Car is located in San Francisco, CA. Car always in the Bay Area. Originally from Palo Alto. Has the CA black plates but title is missing(I'm still looking for it). Last registered May '93. Brakes, tires are good, chrome is decent, needs paint. Car is beige with a light blue interior. Interior is fair to poor. I have ordered period NOS seat covers that are specifically for the car. Three piece headliner is shot. Solid car, except for the trunk area which has some rust from. Floorboards are very solid. All glass is good except driver's door has a crack. Carburetor is idling a little rough but I have ordered carb kit and will have it rebuilt. Compression is 120 in every cylinder except number 6 cylinder is at 90. Car has not been tampered with and is very original. No radio so the dash is smooth all they way across. Electrical is good; lights, wipers, etc. Original keys. $2,000 firm.
