Faulkner is, as they say, a twenty-footer - looks decent at 20 feet But when you get close, you see the imperfections in the paint job, and the dings in the chrome.

I haven't yet decided about the paint job, along with the hood misalignment (got decent hinges, thanks to Matthew's eagle eBay eye!) and sizable dent under the driver's taillight that came with the car. Perhaps I'll wet sand it myself this Fall, and find a good body guy to do the rest of the work. Still deciding... Then of course, to get various pieces re-anodized.

A renowned member of this Forum, who will go nameless (unless he cares to name himself), has agreed to refinish my trim at a favorable rate. My good luck! Now, to remove it, after Carlisle. Matthew will show me the tricks I need to know, and I can finish it on my own.

Bill had many clips left over after his restoration, and offered to sell them to me for the mere cost of shipping! A deal I could not refuse. Below is what I have - assuming I'm able to salvage some of the clips I remove, am I in pretty good shape? What will I need, that I don't already have?

Dan - You are sitting on a Fortune in clips. Lucky guy. Only thing you may need is the clips for the lower windshield and lower backlight trim. You can get those at http://stores.ebay.com/RJL-AUTOMOTIVE-FASTENERS?_rdc=1 and probably anything else you may need. Ace Hardware has a very good selection of automotive clips and stainless steel metal screws and machine bolts. Offer is still good on dent repair and polishing of the trim but it's been so long ago I can't remember the "favorable rate", it's still good though.

Dan - The front and rear clips for the glass trim are different.
