59 Fury 2 door hardtop front roof moulding clips

I'm slowly gathering the parts necessary to re-assemble my 59 Fury 2 door hardtop after the bodywork and paint are finished. The 2" wide stainless roof front molding has three clips that hold it on, along with two fasteners (that screw into the roof) that join it to the two vertical A-post moldings. These three clips were heaps of rust when I removed the molding during teardown, and I have no idea what they look like or what to do to replace them. Does anyone have a photo of this installation they could post? Thanks. Dennis

Dennis - Unfortunately I did not take any pictures of the clips but I did have trouble trying to figure out how they mounted on the car (there is a round rubber sealing washer under the clips) so there is a discussion on how the stainless is mounted. Just type "roof molding clips" in the search box in above right had corner and you will find the discussion. Meanwhile I will research my pictures to see if I can find anything.

Someagun Dennis - I found a picture of the clips in my Photo Albums of Charleen's restoration. I scanned the picture to my computer, lets hope it comes out OK. I have made many clips either using a sample or eyeballing it. Double click on photo to enlarge.

Dick, that photo is perfect! Now that I have some idea what they're supposed to look like, I think I can probably make up a set. I didn't know about the rubber seal, so that's something else I need to take care of. Thanks again for the help! Dennis

Dennis - The rubber seal is a flat round washer about the size of a nickle and 1/16 inch thick, maybe a little thicker. it goes between the clip and the top to keep any water from seeping into the screw hole. You can find them at Home Depot or Lowe's.
