OLD TOWN ALL MOPAR SHOW AND CRUISE - Kissimmee, FL April 6, 2013

Wow, what a day. left home at 7am, got there at 9am. Cruised at 70 MPH and averaged 15.61 MPG. I don't think my car has ever ran as smooth as it did. There were 130 registered cars, mostly muscle cars and a lot of late model Challengers. The oldest was a 50 Plymouth 2 dr. sedan, a 51 or 52 Dodge modified station wagon, a 1958 Christine and my 59 Sport Fury. Everything else was 63 and above. All georgeous cars. There were 26 awards given out, 1- Best of Show, 5 - Top Five, and 20 Top twenty. I don't know how the top 5 and best of show was judged but the top 20 were judged by the registered owners. You picked 8 of your favorite pre 74 cars and 4 of your favorite post 74 cars. When they handed out the top twenty trophys they started with #20 which meant you had the least amount of votes, my friend with a 63 convertible was #12, when it got to #2 I said forget it, I don't have a chance BUT lo and behold #1 was car #47, a 59 Plymouth Sport Fury owned by Dick Koch. I didn't believe it, I got the most votes in the top twenty. That show ended at 5pm so a lot of us drove a couple of blocks and went to the regular Saturday Nite Cruise in at Old Town that always has at least 300 cars. Old Town is a big visitor and vacation attraction, a lot of Europeans are always there. A lot of death defying rides and kiddie rides. At 8:30 all the cars fire up and take a cruise thru the main street of Old Town with people lining the route 3 to 4 deep. I must of had a gazillion pictures taken of my car throughout the day. I tried to take pictures of the crowd thru my windshield but all I got was a reflection of the top of the dash. Took a couple out my window but it was almost over by then. We stayed over Saturday nite and drove home Sunday Moning. Attached are some Pitchuhs.
