Can you picture 20,000 cars?

I came across a story first on Youtube, then on the HAMB, about a place in Rhode Island. It's an unadvertised wrecking yard owned by an alcoholic oddball named Jr. Carpenter. The state is after him to clean up his property for the past five years at least, but his "progress" is slow. I can see the place on GoogleEarth. The scope of the place is huge, and thus, rare. Can you imagine checking out 20,000 cars? There's no telling what he has, as there is no order to the place, and reports are he is not motivated to sell. The reports on HAMB lead me to believe you have to tell the guy exactly what you want, and if he likes you he will go with you to find it.He is drunk by noon and his prices reportedly are high. Most of teh cars are in bad shape, being in the East Coast.
I just had to tell this unusual story.
While it is always possible that these HAMB writers are trying to discourage anyone from visiting the place...keeping it to themselves, so to speak, I have little doubt the owner is a "character".
