Hi. My car is indeed a convertible. I purchased it about two months ago and am in the process of collecting all the missing parts. The car was built in Evansville . It was originally powder blue. It was previously painted black and reupholstered black and white. I intend to redo it in the original colors but will need pictures of an original to go by. The total power train was missing. The frame and floors are solid and almost rust free.There is rust around the rear wheel wells and head lights. There is so much to tell and also so many questions to ask. You all will definitely be hearing more from me. John

Also check out Dick Koch's current Belvy convert restoration in the same thread. "Dicks Convertible Project" Also Tom Fox, in the showcase section, has a near perfect Belvedere Convertible that I followed as close as I could to it. I took over 50 pictures of his car when he came thru Denver a few years ago. His car showed me an end point and lots of details to pursue.

I was almost to Saskatchewan southern border when I picked up my convert in Montana. Mine is a Evansville car too! Originally black but I painted it the Spring Special Turquoise instead when it was time to paint it. And upgraded to the optional swivel seats and a SF style of interior(not available to Belvy's in 59) but kept the Belvy external side trim. Kinda a "one of none" build...

There are original repair parts for the wheel lips and rear quarters available on E bay and also the repair parts for the headlight areas so those parts on your car can be repaired.

I do have both sides of those scripts around somewhere, they are somewhat pitted though, let me know if interested.

I'll look for them today and let you know, they do have the mounting pins on them, they were the ones that were on my 59 Plymouth when i got it in 04, and i found a very nice set on ebay to replace them with.
I'll get back to you ASAP.

Well, i found them easily enough, theres no difference as far as which side of the car they are mounted on, they both have some pitting and would be good for a "driver", or if they are missing!
One does have the center mounting pin missing though, if you're still interested I'll take pics of them if you like.

Hi. Well you learn something new every day. I thought there was a left and a right but you are correct there is not,they are both the same. That is a good thing because it should be easier to find one good one. Yes please send a picture Thanks John

I don't spend much time on EBay anymore...I have not learned the filter system, so I don't get all the car cover ads etc.
Moreover, I no longer have my Plymouth, but if you can learn the filter system, I should think there would be at least several listings of "Belvedere" scripts on eBay. IF not, you can search the NOS suppiers, such as Len Dawson.
