Need help with the Heater Box Cardboard Assy
I got a new cardboard assy from Gary G, That went together with no issues.However I have an extra pc that I have attached a Photo of and another photo of the old heater box with 2 screws with a partial pc attached under the screws , see the tip of the small screwdriver in the photo pointing to it.

Questions,

Does the Sport Fury use this V shaped pc , If so where?

What goes under the 2 screws shown by the screwdriver, The V pc or something else?

Can Anybody post a photo of the correct install of the front side of the heaterbox

Gary's input below That piece with the strange hole gets bent at about a 90 degree V shape. The two inboard holes cross each other so you effectively have three screw holes. It screws on the front of the unit peak up (I think) You should be able to find three screw holes in the fiberglass. I don't know where I put the original unit to get a picture. Let me know if you can't figure it out and I'll look further. It's meant to deflect or distribute air. Could be that not all cars had it.

I did not know that Gary made that piece... I was going to make my own but I will put an order in with Gary for one. I wil still make my own until I get the Goers piece. What part number did you order to get it? I will have to review his catalog better to see what else I missed...

What you have is a lower heater flow divider that will evenly distribute the warm air from your heater box to both sides of the front compartment. Allowing both driver and passenger to get directed heat towards their feet. These did not last long in a car as they were kicked numerous times till it just fell off.

He has some wonderful photos that were taken of his car that is a good source of info for us to mimic on our rides.

The small pc you are looking for came with the entire Heater box Assy , Gary's P/N for the set is #699B
Please get back to me next week about the left side Vent window frame, also looking for the Front Kick Panel metal retainers and the vinyl beads

I don't have any small kick panel frame parts but John Fowlie should have them as they are the same for 2 door or 4 door bodies,

You answered my question on the fact you need the entire assembly of the vent window, for some reason I thought later on it was just the glass part.

I will check on Sunday for sure for the other one that is not so badly pitted. Or were you going to have it rechromed?

Attached are a couple of shots of my completed Heater box with the extra small pc installed. for your files.
I used 10/32 self tapping screws with speed nuts against the cardboard all around to attach the cardboard ,just like was used is some of the locations.
I could not use staples ,plastic was to hard and brittle.
The fit was perfect ,Nice work by Gary G

Learn something new almost every other day I wasn't aware this piece existed. I just went out and checked my Sport Fury and the piece is NOT there. My SF has factory AC installed under there. I wouldn't think that would make a difference.

Then I checked my 4-dr Fury and the part IS under there. In pristine shape, never been kicked (maybe I should take a pic of it)

I also have a parts car parked out in the woods. I'll check that next. Might have to fight off the bees. I would almost bet that piece is on that one too.

Mark, I do have a set of the larger SF armrests for you. Bases are in good shape, One cover is intact but the others you would have to recover. I think you would have to paint the bases your color needed and re=cover in your color too just like I did.
