Hi~ I'm restoring a 59 Custom Suburban 9 passenger wagon. I'm going to be looking for a bunch of different items as this goes along but right now I know I need the spare tire cover that clips on to the passenger side rear fender, and springs for the hood. My wagon has the Torqueflight transmission and I may also need new cables for that. I am interested in any parts for this car so if you have anything or have a source to direct me to I want to hear about it!!

Hello and welcome! The first man to to go to for parts is John Fowlie, dba Big M Auto, in Williams, CA.
There are other sources, but definitely begin with the best... bigmauto@colusanet.com.

Christine805, So what state do you hail from? We may have members close to you...
If you can please update your profile in the User control pane with your name and city and state.
We would love to see some pics of your car under the "Show your Ride" section of the Forum.
Thanks!

A couple months ago John F indeed had a few Suburbans there, don't know if they are still sitting there.
Can you send me any info and the VIN number in a PM?
I am collecting this info for my 59 Plymouth registry.
If your car has a data plate, send or post a pic for decoding. Your car doesn't have a data plate if the VIN starts with: M173 or M273

Welcome to the forum! And John is right, it helps if people know your general location as shipping parts can be pretty expensive.
John Fowlie is picking up a "parts" car this weekend in Las Vegas, it belonged to Kenny J and has no engine/transmission but is otherwise mostly complete and solid. This is what Kenny wrote about it:
I no longer own this wagon. It now belongs to John Fowlie, owner of Big M Automotive. As you can see, it has some rust issues, but it is generally solid. It is a West Coast car. Not pictured, but going with the car are both front fenders (outer and inner), which have NO rust through, the hood and replacement rear side glass for both sides. The interior, engine and transmission are gone (well, I have all that stuff.) The grille and core support were damaged in a collision and cobbled together by a previous owner, and were scrapped when I pulled the engine and transmission. I suppose somebody could build this as they want or simply get parts from it. The doors are nice and the dash is unmolested. It was originally a six/overdrive vehicle. John will be picking it up this weekend.

Our PB Trans cable are see on Ebay all the time, Imperial Services would have them as Roger suggested. I will do a search on E bay and dig some up.
