1959 Plymouths
1959 Plymouths
Anyone have round about numbers on how many 1959 Plymouths survive today? Restored or otherwise. I have seen estimates for 55 and 57 Chevys and a few other notables, but never for the 59 Plymouth
Ive often wondered how people actually know exact figures on how many survive,as in the numbers you see for the tri 5 Chevs, how do you get the figures on how many are registered from the government anyway?
And a lot of these cars are worldwide too,i live in Ontario, and id have no idea how i could find out how many 59 Plymouths still exist here in Ontario!

1959 Plymouth #'s
Don't know if you can get registration statistics on certain makes of cars from State DOT. That would be nice if you could. Maybe the States could provide that info for a slight fee. But for all 50 States that would add up - fee x 50 =... Here in Wisconsin, (of course I wouldn't bet on it) I think there are only 2 Sport Furys on the road - mine and a fellow that owns about 15 other FL cars, all in showroom condition. As for the other 59 models, now and then one pops up at a car show or a swap meet, but that is a rarity.

We do own rare cars indeed!!

That's true, they are a rarity even at Chryslers at Carlisle, and if they're not there, then i don't know what to tell you!! There is usually (as some of you may know) an entire row of Superbirds/Daytonas, but i couldn't tell you the last time I saw a '59 Plymouth there! I will have to ask some friends of mine that go to the huge Mopar meet in Ohio if they have seen any there.
bought my grandma a ball of steel wool and she's knitting me a foreign car.
