1959 2 Door Post car

How Rare is the Post Cars? All I see is mostly Hard tops Restored. Is a post car worth rebuilding? can I change the roof and doors to make mine a hard top? I know that may be a lot of work but I am a Metal man. I am not sure to restore the one I have or turn it. thanks Kevin

A guy told me that a lot of the post cars went to Drag racing. Thats a big reason why they are not around. I m guessing they are a lot stonger that a hard top car for racing. I cant get over someone wanting to race a car of this weight!! lol

The post cars were lighter and stronger than the other models. Most of the sedans were not considered as desireable as the hardtop and convertibles so they were surplused earlier. Drag racing did very little to the affect their dissapearance. Now we love to see the sedans because they are now a rare sight.
