trouble logging in, again

Post by rogerh »

I use Outlook Express.
I get a post in my email informing me of a new post to a 59SF.net topic.
I click on the highlighted line, and I get a prompt asking me to sign in.
I do so and it says i was sucessfully logged on, then the screen goes back to asking me to sign in. Round and round.
Ron posted advice on how to fix this sudden problem, but I can't even follow his first instruction...
how doees one "delete shortcut/favourites to Forum"?
(I deleted the cookies as directed, but it didnt fix the problem)

Hold on, I right-clicked on "59SF" in Favorites, deleted it, then continued with directions...maybe I succeeded.......

You are on the right track, but do NOT use SF in the address. The only way to get it working is go through https://59plymouth.net/59forum that is what should be your new favorite.

I really can't explain, but I will try:
when I type in 59Plymouth to Internet Explorer, it automatically comes up as 59 Sf.
Ron, you could solve this, and all my other computer issues if you were here in person.
But I'd MUCH rather you hook up a heater in your garage and get to fixing all the issues I shipped to your doorstep :D

Roger, it is just politically correct not to use the SF in the Web address as to not look down on your Fury, Belvedere, Savoy and Suburban trim level members. We have feelings too!!!:P

Roger,

Sorry to hear that it is still not working :x If you are gome this weekend we can try to connect our computers, there is this option in MS Windows with the option to help somebody by connecting computers and taking over control. If you want we can try that, but I have never done that before. Or I can call you and try to solve it while you are my eyes and hands! If that works I will ask some other members to be my hands and eyes in my garage
