Chrome rivets

Post by Faulkner »

In disassembling my driver's vent window, I've had to drill out several rivets that had chrome plated flat heads. Anyone know where I can get replacements for these? I thought I'd replace with aluminum rivets (so they wouldn't rust), but if I can get chrome, I'd rather. But -- how would they work? The pop rivets I'm familiar with, pull a head through a smaller tube to flare it on the other side of the hole; when the pin is cut, you've got the head and the flared tube exposed, and it's not flat. Am I rambling?! Opinions, please...

Now, I wonder how you flare these suckas on the other side... Is there a special rivet tool for this type of rivet?
