Transmission Change

I am going to change my powerflite over to a torqueflite in my 59 Plymouth. I am guessing that the driveshaft is a different length, and was also wondering about the U joint arrangement if that was different ? The other question would be the cable from the push button selector. I have the transmission, and push button assembly minus the cable. The transmission came out of a 59 Desoto Firesweep with a 361, I believe. Will any torqueflite from that era work whether it was behind a 318 or 361, since it separates at the bell housing ? Any information about this change over would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You
Tim Baker

Again just flapping my gums, because I am not an expert, but I believe that if your car has an original v-8, a swap from PF to TF is a straight swap. Of course you'lll need the console controls which go with the TF.
No need to change propeller shaft.
John Fowlie is going to be your Go-to man; he knows all the swap-out possibilities, and he has access to all the needed parts.
