Matthew, I know you have a connection with Dan, but remember the Rockies play in the National League and that would mean they would have been eliminated by the Phillies or one of the other NL teams. So go easy on your "shoot from the hip" blind support of the Phillies.
Remember it is hot and sweaty in Philidelphia and dry and pleasant in Denver. Seems like a no-brainer to me!
sigh.... Yes a brief weather disturbance but the unsettled air mass is heading east to the city of Brotherly Love (?) Very disappointed in the series in Arizona, we will see if we can do better against the Giants this weekend.
Or maybe I should switch to the Bronco's and Avalance earlier then expected this fall.....
Watch out for the Brew Crew next year..... Or did I say that last year, can't remember
Oh well, the Packers are off to a good start. They knocked off the Eagles
And the Broncos got a break this year, they're not on the Packer schedule

We are thankful for not having the Packers this year, And if we do well during the bye week we should do OK. LOL We even lose during the bye week some years!
Rest in Peace Colo. Rockies..... All hail the Phillies! The winds have shifted (Rockies lost today) and I am putting all my support behind the Phillies.

So There Dan!!!!
John Q.
Uh-oh. You didn't throw your support behind the Phils starting last night, did you, John? They've lost two in a row. Well; the Braves lost too, so the Phils Magic Number is now 1. Still, we need to keep Big Mo in our corner. Hamels really lost his cool today, something he hasn't done in a long time. Steady as she goes!
Dan
naw.... threw in the towel this afternoon after watching the Rockies lose to SF. Though not technically eliminated, they are emotionally done.
All that is left is for Ubaldo to win his 20th tomorrow ( and hopefully that will get him closer to the Cy Young award) and for Carlos Gonazales (CarGo) to win the NL batting title.
OK, not only are the Phillies the National League Eastern Division Champs. They have home field advantage, throughout the playoffs, because of their record and because of the NL win in the All Star Game.
It's what I'm tawkin' about. We may be waiting for the playoffs to begin - starting in our backyard, all the way through - but we can't shake our winning ways.
