That would be John Samsen. I missed the presentation on Saturday Morning but I believe he (John Samsen) talked about it himself in some postings on the FL site his days at Chrysler in the 50's, 60's and 70's.
He was selling a DVD of his design exploits and concepts that is available through the FL store I believe.
