Front Door Stop Straps.

Can't figure out how to detach stop straps from either door jamb or door. It looks like the strap has a rivit on the door jamb side but would have to grind off. Does anybody know of an easier way. Maybe on the door side. Any help would be appreciated.

Dick, the only way to remove these is to grind off the rivet at the door jam. The strap will now go inside the door. You can replace the rivet with the right size pin and small cotter key, or a small bolt and nut.
