Maybe a car that is interesting for somebody a little closer to Texas than we are. Seems like a pretty good car with a non original interior but lots of trim and swivel seats. Some things missing like the medallions but the price is low enough to spend some extra money on parts.

I will be in Dallas next week but Austin is still another 4 hours away. If it was closer I would check it out but will pre-occupied with my brothers 2nd surgery for his elbow joint replacement due to a work accident.
It still looks like not to bad of a vehicle to pick up...

Nick Nichols here in San Francisco. I ended up buying the '59 Sport Fury in Austin, Texas. I had it shipped out here and it just arrived the other day. It is a pretty decent car for the price($2300 and shipping was $700). It will be a work in progress. It is missing the chrome door panels mouldings that fit along the top of the door panels and also the rear panels. Also, the front valance is missing. The interior is not original but in pretty good shape, headliner shot however. The medallions were in the trunk of the car. The main draw for me were all the options the car had: dual carbs with the air cleaners intact and in good shape, mirrormatic mirror, autronic eye and also rubber bumper guards front and rear. No power windows or seats. Supposedly it was running very well a few years ago. I haven't tried yet to clean the points and put fresh gas, etc. Brakes came up after bleeding. The motor cranks over strong, tires are new and also it has these weird spinner hubcaps with an eagle in the middle. Not sure what era their from but they are quite interesting. Anyone have any leads on finding the mouldings and valance? It will try and post some pics soon. Needless to say I am quite excited. I have been lookng for a '59 Plymouth 2dr ht for quite awhile. Didn't really expect to end up with a Sport Fury as they are usually too pricey if nice or too far gone if they are cheap. I had a '59 Belvedere several years ago and stupidly sold it. Nick.

I sold my inside window sills (garnish moldings) to John Fowlie. He will be your go-to guy for sure. Congratulations, Nick!
I just got a private email from an "Eric" in the Bay Area...he has a SF too. I will try to coax some pix out of him.
