Any help for Dick?
Dick Skinner wrote:I had an arrangement with Gary, the Parts doc to rebuild my gas tank fuel sending unit for my 1959 Plymouth station wagon, but he has stoped rebuilding them. Who else is reliable and reasonable? He was also going to add a grounding screw to the unit so that I would have a positive return. Any help from the groups?

Thanks, Curt -- the seller is "Vans", but Dick spoke with them at Carlisle; they don't offer units for Sport Suburbans. But, nice try!

Pat Grant, fellow listmember, bought a burned wagon. He saved the fuel tank, I believe.

Another option: NAPA may offer /used to offer fits all sending units. I've used one of them to success. The come in different ohms ranges and if memory serves me correctly you adjust the float assembly and travel. If the flange doesn't fit you can screw it/glue it maintaining the ground path .

Another good source is ebay stores - Atlas obsolete Chrysler parts, they have a lot of 59 Ply stuff.
