Instead of trying to paint the black squares in your hubcaps, have a vinyl sign shop measure the square and cut more than 192 squares. Clean and shine the hubcap, then with the point of a razor knife peel a square off the sheet and align it carefully and stick in place. If it isn't perfect peel it off and try again with a new one. ( this is why you make more than enough) Make sure the squares on the hubcap are clean and smooth, as this vinyl will show any bumps or original paint edges. The black vinyl can be used in the F on the SF script as well.

Tom, these little pieces appear to be a bit trapezoidal in shape, with rounded corners. What a great job -- I'd be happy to deal directly with the guy who did these for you, if he's still in the business. Do you think he'd be interested?

I'm not sure if he is still in business or not, I will check. In the meantime I would be glad to mail a sticker on a card to you or anyone else, to use as an actual size pattern. Most any sign shop can read it with a laser and duplicate it exactly. If one were to deal with a local shop the shipping and handling is taken care of.

Thanks Tom! You and the other Forum guys always come thru for me in parts for my endevours in gettting the Belvy Convert back on the road.
I have learned so much by reviewing the old Tech events on how do do repairs and how they work. Now this new "How to.." thread that Dan started will bear down on more specific repairs and assembly tasks.
Many thanks!
