Key blanks on Ebay
Hey guys,
this weekend the weather was great so I took my car for a ride and also made some money driving a couple on their wedding. Unfortunately I was a little bit unmindful and stupid trying to open the trunk with one hand (as you know the keys are not very thick)...As you can guess I broke the key. Luckily I was able to fish for the broken end in the cylinder. So I spend my afternoon today downtown, running from one key service store to another and tried to find a blank or somebody who can help me. Of course, in Germany it's just not possible to find anything like that. Back home I looked it up on the Internet and found something on Ebay:

I'd just like to know, if this is the right blank or if somebody has a better idea. Otherwise I think I'll order those blanks and let them processed here in Germany. What do you think?
@ Ron: If you read this, thank you very much for your tip with the engine gasket set! I ordered the one you recommended when I still was in the states and saved something around 200 Euros compared to buying the set in Germany

Re: Key blanks on Ebay
Your welcome, now to put in all those gaskets! The keys look like they are the right ones for the trunk lock. But maybe you should look for a set, a new cylinder with key as it might be hard to get the blanks processed with a broken key.eddie.gordou wrote:@ Ron: If you read this, thank you very much for your tip with the engine gasket set! My car is almost done and we had it appraised yesterday, compared to 3 years ago it was € 12.000 higher. It is about time we get the cars together and make some nice pictures. We are leaving for a US trip next weekend but we should be able to meet this summer. Maybe we can even help you getting the gaskets in .

Re: Key blanks on Ebay
That doesnt resemble the original trunk key, but it should work, i found the correct blanks on ebay a few years ago, before i did tho i had a set made because my car came with only one set of keys, and they used a Chrysler blank like those ones and an 70s style American Motors ignition and door key which worked, ill see if i can find the ebay site for the guy i got the correct blanks from.
