first road trip of the summer for me

Today I took my Plymouth on a short (20?) mile drive from home here in Orting, up to Lake Tapps. My sister recently got hired on at Puget Sound Energy- this company owns a beautiful section of lakeshore property. Today was their company party, with food, music, and small car show. My sister got me a gate pass. The weather started out cool and cloudy but it cleared up after a few hours. There were ten or eleven cars on display..several hot rods, a sharp 1963 Impala SS convertible, a 49 Plymouth Special Deluxe (both of these cars were the same color as mine!), a Corvair, a 1937 Chev pickup, an original 1971 Camaro, a Mustag Cobra with 437 HP, etc. There was no official judging, but the young men in charge voted me best of show, and I received $50 credit at the autoparts store! The "judges" were very impressed with the swivel seats, and the overall style.
Another guy came up and told me his friend in a nearby town owns a coppertone Fury 2HT, originally owned by his grandfather. Sadly, the car has set for the past twenty years, unused, in a garage, and is NOT for sale. I told him to tell his friend to check us out at sportfury.net.

I still think the car drives wierd, soft brakes, loose and off-center steering are two issues..
but it was a FUN day.
