good humor, man

Post by rogerh »

I am glad you saw the humor in my efforts to be the only one with "current posts"..I was only kidding around because I miss Matthew's daily postings, or any one's posts, for that matter.
The weather around here has been taunting us..two weeks ago on a Saturday it got up to 78 degrees with sun, but there was a parade going thru town. Tomorrow the weather is once again supposed to be great, and there even is a classic car cruise, but I made commitments that day to visit my 89-yr old mother on her BD. Oh well, there will be other chances to get the Plymouth out for a run.

Hey Roger - My Plymouth rumbled to life first time this spring Saturday, April 19. Spur of the moment deal. A friend called me that morning to see if I'd be interested in using my car for a 47th wedding anniversary deal. Seems he volunteered his car (58 chevy) for the occasion but he couldn't make it. Weather was beautiful so I took him up on it. He's an excavator and in return for favor he offered me a couple loads of fill for my new garage site. Anyway I picked up couple at church (renewed wedding vows) and drove them to old home site and ballroom. A recreation of their wedding day 47 years ago. Put 98 miles on car and she performed flawlessly. There were about 100 guests present and Plymouth was a hit. Getting back to the weather - today we got an inch of snow and high was about 35 degrees.
