I've been away for a while because.....

Post by Ron Keij »

We decided to give up our emigration plans and get on with our lives in the Netherlands. And to get on we needed another place to live, away from the city and with a lot more room.

We found the house of our dreams with a garage that is even bigger than what we have been dreaming about :D The garage measures 48 X 20 ft. which gives us enough room for all 3 cars we have and still have some space around it to work on them. Now Matthew can really start working on his 59 Fury after searching for over a year for a decent priced 1 car garage.

We are so lucky to find an affordable house with a 3 car garage in a country so crowded as ours. We will be moving there early next year so until March 2008 you won't see a lot of posts from me but I'll be reading all of your posts!

View from the bedroom balcony. Who says our country is crowded, you can see no buildings for 10 miles.

We haven't set a date for the party yet but there will be one for sure!

The pictures were made a couple of weeks ago, the soon to be previous owner has his own business as a carpenter and used the garage for storage. The first part of the garage is only 12 ft wide but it is 20 ft after that. Matthew's car will be the one parked on the left side and my Sport Fury and Marjo's Pontiac will be parked on the right side. Behing the storage room it is 20 ft to the end of the garage. And in the picture you can also see the grease pit.

Oh boy! Hope it's in the Fall -- Marie and I hope to visit Stefan and Ana in Portugal, and then bounce over to the NL.

If you can still buy a Euro for two bucks, that is...

You better start buying Euro's now

But you won't have any problems, you can pay for the tickets with $$$$ and when you arrive in Amsterdam (or Brussels) you won't need money. We will take care of you and there is no need to get Euro's!
