winter is setting in....-instant heat?

i am kinda thinking about putting an instant heater in batmobile. my original plan was to go to an aftermarket, under dash unit, but the instant heater is a unique option. do these things actually work, what r the drawbacks, and could u get instant heat and a/c ? --j
