Dick, Looks great! Larry and you are doing a super job! You two make a great couple! I won't mention it to your Bride!

You snuck in the pictures under an old text so it took me a while to figure out the new dates on the Photos with an old text reply.

Cunning! very Cunning of you!

When do you think you will get it in final paint?

John Q.

PS the glaicer has receeded here in Denver and it will be near 60F this weekend. No more gloating from you! :) Time to start woking again!

Larry and I have had a parting of the ways, he finished all the welding (I hope) so I will only see him at out weekly Saturday nite cruise (He is the president) of our club, the Asphalt Angels.
What chu talkin bout, old text, picture dates, huh.
Final paint will be a long time, have to do the fuzzies, inner fenders, fenders, hood, trunk lid, doors, repaint engine, replace freeze plugs, paint engine, install 2 fours, install AC, install gas tank, install windshield. paint dash, et. al. Man I'm exhausted just thing about it, which reminds me, it needs a new exhaust system too. Maby june/july. I do a lot of car shows so that will be a holdup.
Thanks for asking,
Dick.

Dick,

I'm impressed, and also you make me relive the restoration we went through last year. But it certainly is a good job you are doing!

John,

What is it with people from Colorado freezing other people? Just yesterday I heard about "frozen dead guy day" in Nederland Co. They have a Norwegian guy on dry ice there............ http://www.nederlandchamber.org/pdfs/fd ... tory10.pdf

Ron, Yes, it is a well know event there in Nederlands, about 35 mins away in the mountains from me. Ron, you and Marjo have been to Town of Nederlands I believe from one of you US sojourns here.Small mountain town with a lot of old Hippies there from the 60's & 70'swho are still hiding out...

The event was last weekend and my 20 year old son, Jack, attended. Pretty bizarre. It is a Bohemian town for sure.

My comments about freezing Dick (well meant and endearing wish!) did come about that day, when my son said he and a bunch of guys werre going to attend this years FDGD's. One thing led to another and voila, I suggested we freeze Dick so he can see his car in the future.

Ron, you should be a detective for linking the event and my comments.

Now back to Dick's restoration....... :D

Having trouble attaching pictures, I have on my desktop an attachment folder that I have been dragging pictures from Kodak Easyshare to. In the past the picture I was dragging was transparent and would light up the attachement icon on the desktop and I knew it was transferred. Now when I drag the picture it is not transparent and has a small black border around it and will not transfer to the attachment folder. I browse the pictures in the attachment folder to attach to my thread. Can anyone help.

Hmm... Not sure, Dick. Do you have multiple accounts on the machine (e.g., one for you, one for your wife), and you're logged into the wrong one?

Any recent software installations on your computer that may have changed the behavior of your Kodak program?

When all else fails, try a reboot...

Dick,

You can try selecting the pics you want to transfer to that folder (click once) and then right click, it will give you an option menu where you can select "cut".
Then go to the attachment folder and right click somewhere in the folder and choose "paste"in the option menu. Not 100% sure it will work with your current issues but worth a try.

I think I found a way to upload attachments, I right clicked on the Kodak Easyshare picture, one of the options is to post picture on my desktop, from there I was able to drag the picture to my attachments folder then to my show your ride thread.
SO, here's some mo pitchuhs, hope this works. First, I have completely scraped all undercoat from the bottom on the car (wfhew) seam sealed all welds and openings, painted with encapsulator, added grease to front ball and pinion joint, installed fuel and brake lines in proper location with proper clips, had my radiator guy clean and seal the gas tank, it's painted and installed, completely disasembled front and rear brakes, painted all parts, my parts car had the later brakes and good rear drums so I used them. installed all suspension bumpers from parts car and Gary Goers. Oh, by the way, Gary has the little clips that hold the window fuzzies on. Part # 188. Next I did the initial blocking added body filler and or body putty where needed and applied the first coat of Epoxy Primer, then I blocked that and am ready for second coat of Epoxy Primer. I think I finally somewhat mastered my HVLP paint gun?? Can't believe how little overspray there is. This time I'm painting in my garage with the lift, covered the walls and workbench areas with plastic drop clothes.
