Nice job Vic. What about mounting the compressor, did you buy the brackets or fabricate them yourself. Did you
Have to move the PS. Pump. Also would you mind sharing the make and model of the compressor.
Thanks,
Dick

Hi Dick

I had to swap the water pump for a mid 60's set up

I then purchased the brackets to suit the Sandeman 508 compressor for what basically would be a 383 set up - I then just bought them off eBay as they are a standard set up

I've also had to include a tension pulley as per the 383 set up

I've managed to keep the original ps pump as is

My belt arrangement will be as follows:

Crank -fan - tension pulley
P/s to crank
Alternator - a/c-crank

It effectively is a 68 Plymouth set up

Ive had to use an alternator with a dual pulley to make it all line up

Hope this helps

Cheers

Whilst restoring the 59 Ive also sold my 68 Plymouth and have acquired a 57 Tbird from Dallas

She's due to be shipped tomorrow to Australia

Hope to drive this as a daily driver as the Plymouth is just too big

Hi again
An opinion if you please

Made up controls for the air freeze a/c unit to try and blend in with dash- thoughts ?

Record player - should I mount it level with floor or

Mount it at the same angle as the base of the dash

Any criticism truly welcomed- not sure if it's going over the top

Also I'm unsure how to wire up the windshield washer pump wiring to the windshield controls

The controls are variable speed and only leave two connections once you connect the motor

The foot controls have 4 connections

Any idea? Can't find the details in any of the manuals

I assume that if connected when you depress the foot pump it automatically controls the windshield wipers?

I'd say level it with the floor. Looks better.
It looks like there is too much going on when you put it in the dash angle.

I'll check on the pump when I get home

Vic - My red and white SF had factory air originally. When l restored it l checked the evaporator and have all the ventilation and AC doors vacuume system working. All l have to do is install the condenser, Sanden compressor, hoses, etc. What setup do you have for your interior AC and how will you utilize the two top dash vents.
Dick.

Hi Dick

As I didn't have a/c and my heater control was shot I opted to go after market

I ended up installing aVintageAir GenIV that has heating, cooling and demister

I have connected the 4 air outlets to the dash grilles that will be both air and heat
The unit has electric motors that regulates the air flow between air and heat

The draw back is that I've lost the glovebox as the a/c unit takes up all the space
