William, Dan does this every year, it's on my bucket list and hopefully I'll scratch it off my list soon, but sorry to say not this year. My wife and l plan on driving our convertible to visit family this October in New Orleans our hometown for a few days then for a few days we are going to www.crusinthecoast.com which has 6 venues along Hwy 90, a 50 mile stretch right on the Gulf of Mexico. One of the venues is Bay St. Louis, MS where l was born in 1936 and lived with my grandmother during WW2. A age ten we moved to New Orleans. There was over 8,000 cars last year. There is an auction, a flea market, entertainment at each venue, casinos all over the place and if you get validated at each venue you are eligible for twenty $500.00 drawings. It's a week long event, the car show part is three days. I won't do Carlisle until Dan brings his finished restoration. Ha, that's a boost Dan.

Dick, that sounds like an awesome adventure! living the life! Cruising the coast in the Convertible! I love New Orleans and that whole area around there. I would love to do some thing like this, or power tour or the Drive America tour. I do hope you make it to Carlisle next year for the 60th. Hopefully Dan will get cracking on Faulkner too... No pressure Dan I am going to try and schedule some leave so i can fly home a couple times over the next year and work on my Savoy so i can attempt to drive it to Carlisle 2019 but we will see.
Cant wait to see photos of your time crusin the coast. Sounds like a dream come true! Ill bet that even with 8k cars in attendance good chance you will have the only 59 Plymouth Convertible! She sure is a gorges automobile.
