I used poprivets to hold mine on......The hardest part of the whole job was to
hold the strip whilst drilling the holes. I used DuckBill Visegrips to hold
the strips to the door edge and then pop riveted the strip to the edge.
You cant actually see the rivets once they are in.

I am impressed, Jason! How were you able to fit the head of the pop rivet tool into the 1" wide window channel

I used the 3M product adhesive and small Stainless Steel screws with Roger's tip on touching up the exposed head with a black paint touch-up stick. Best of both worlds...
Jason, I am like Roger, how did you get a rivet gun head in the window channel opening?

Sorry guys I think we are talking about different things?
I used Pop rivets for what we call in Australia "window felts".
These have the chrome edge stripping and black furry felts that contacts the glass.
These are off the 57's Sedan and attach to the window frame. Coupes would obviously be different.
the rivets are not seen as the furry part was slightly cut away so the head of the rivet would sink into the metal
backing and not scrape the glass. after they wear painted black they are impossable to find.
I had to use a long 1/8" drill bit to clear the inner door frame edge but it will work. I used a normal rivet gun and it fit no problem.
