I have and NOS One in the Mopar Grotto (basement) Did not know there is a difference between the A engine and the B Engine versions. I thought they would be the same, Can someone check there parts book to verify?
If they are the same I will be glad to donate it to my future adoptive Father (once the papers are signed of course....) That is if the Dutch contingent can no come up with there version,

It is the tube that goes from the passenger side rear valve cover port over the side by the exhasut manifold then runs down by the torsion bars and then onto the ground.
PCV valves then came into play in the 60's and took those oil vapors and fed them back into the base of the carb to be burned by the engine on intake in the cyliders. take a look at Tom Fox's Bevedere convert and you will see it on the engine shot.

Well lets change that view to Jack Bittermans Sport Fury Convertible in the showcase shows it. I thought Tom's car showed it but it does not. look for the great engine shot.

John - If you will go to the Showcase, sport fury, page 2, "Dicks original Sport Fury" you will see the PVC setup the previous owner installed. With the two fours there is no hose barb on the front carburetor Im going to use but there is one on the front of the rear carburetor, even though there is a sever 90 degree bend in the hose I'm going to try and use the PVC setup. If for some reason it does't pan out I will contact you about the downdraft tube. The parts book says #1945190 tube. John the early 318 was the "A" engine and it is balanced internally, the later 318 was the "LA" engine and it has a harmonic balancer and is slightly smaller dimensionally. There was no 318 "B" engine as far as I know. Go to www.allpar.com for all the engine info.
There is a fitting in the manifold at the left corner of the rear carburetor that the AC/heater vacuum hose connects to and I will draw vacuum for the power brakes from the middle of the rear carburetor.

Hey Dick, yes I know that the 318 Poly came in the A engine but the 361 is a B engine and did not know if there was a difference between the Poly 318 Down Draft tube and the 361 B motor down draft tube. Or is it the same tube regardless of the motor it is on, exception being your dual quad set up of course!
Either way, get in touch with me and I will get you a picture of what I have and any dimensions you may want off of it. I will be back in Denver on Sunday for a day before going to MN for two days and can get a hold of it Sunday afternoon for a look see. If it works .... Its yours!

Be careful what you give away, Matthew and Ron. The downdraft tube on your convert's 361 isn't quite right. There seems to be many variants out there, and the right one eluded me.

That's what I thought it was. On my 318 SF I only have the breather cap, no tube. I just checked my 318 4dr Fury and that has the tube. Never noticed before.
I think I'm going to take that tube off the Fury and put it on the SF. I drive that the most.

I know the tube is slipped over the breater outlet on the passenger side but can you tell me where it's mounted for the lower support on your 318.

The 318 and 361 road draft tubes are, indeed, different. I have either of those available, Dick, if previous offers fall through.

If there's a flange at the lower end of the tube (with bolt holes) I think it is supposed to attach to the cover of the torque converter.

Here are some pictures of my converts 413 Black downdraft tube minus the cap part which is still part of the valve cover.I will seal that up when done with the engine dept detailing) the unpainted one is the extra used one I have.
The 413RB black tube does have the welded on two bold support that does get attached to the outside of the bell housing. The extra tube I have is not NOS after further inspection and can see where the support was attached (three little holes there) but is missing and the end of tube deflector has been taken off also. And you can see where it was by its hole in the end of the tube. Mine was a used stripped of paint version that does have a different pattern then the one that came on my 413.
Dick, if you want it its yours, Keij's if you can have it if Dick does not want it either. Or everyone passes on it is fine too!
