Sport mouldings needed

Post by furymitch »

Hey everyone
I'm restoring 59 sport fury and what i need is all the chrome mouldings that go down the passenger side from front fender to rear.
Is there any where that produce these mouldings or has anybody got any lurking in their garage. With out these parts i will not be able to complete it as an original. I don't fancy the idea of smoothing it of like a custom car.
Please help.

Hi Mitch, How are you at restoring these stainless pieces? I would have all of it. Do you need the anodized inserts as well? I would also have that. These pieces are restorable, meaning the dents and scratches can be fixed. Tom

Mitch,
Just a word here to let you know that Tom Fox is as good as gold when it comes to our cars. I must say that I do not know of ANY other place where you might find a complete set of passenger trim in useable condition. True, there are salvage yards out there with SFs in the back corners or under stacks of cars...there actually was a guy in CA who was rumored to have a complete set for sale...I think Ed Eckerson or Dan Morton or someone knew about it...the guy wanted $2000 or more for the set. Mopar Mel thrashes the bushes searching for this stainless to keep his SF restoration business running...and there are two wealthy West Coast SF owners who typically win the Ebay auctions if these parts come up for sale.
