I'M BACK-FINALLY!!!!!
I'M BACK-FINALLY!!!!!
Hi to everyone, sorry for my long absence. Computer crapped out from virus, got it fixed after a fair bit of time, then i moved a couple of times-unable to find proper time to hook up computer and internet. Hopefully i wont have to move again or have computer problems again anytime soon as i'm not fond of either.
My '59 Savoy is down for a while, lost compression in #1 cylinder in spring and had only 80 psi in #4 cylinder (230 i-6) - time for an engine overhaul i recon (snowball effect here- need total car overhaul). I dont seem to have as much time for my cars as i would like, but such as life. Don't know when i will get time to fix '59 as i have purchased several more cars that r equal pieces of umm.. iron.. . I have purchased a '56 Savoy originaly equipped w/ V8 & pusbutton P/F(rather rough), low mileage '78 chrysler newport 4 door h/t rescued from crusher (running and driving now), a 42,000 mile '78 lincoln continental sedan (my highway cruiser), 86 escort 'pony' 2 door (needs clutch, ring gear, and bodywork / paint) , and a dodge p/u of indeteminate age, possibly early '50s (split hood). Will try to give pics at some point. My poor old '78 Olds Omega is still chugging- though barely.
I'm still working at Oreilly auto parts, since returning back in Dec. '06, and doing a bit of mechanicing on the side for much needed extra cash.
i will try to keep up w/ postings, but have lots of catching up to do and just as much work. Until next time, talk to everyone later.

Re: I'M BACK-FINALLY!!!!!
Well, Jeremy is back! I joined the forum around the time you went missing. Everyone was worried that something bad had happened to you. Glad you are alive and kicking!
Some thought you had moved to Colorado and were asking me if I knew anything about you, which I didn't. I was even asked to check the Colorado Obits' on you.
Looking forward to hearing some more exploits during your "lost time"

Welcome back!
Re: I'M BACK-FINALLY!!!!!
Thanx for all the friendly welcome backs. lol- You sometimes have to make sure i don't get thrown in the poky for doing donuts or something else equaly foolish- Yeah John, i'm still living in the same city (Anadarko), which is about an hour's drive south-southwest from OKC. How is ur hardtop-to-convertable 59 fury coming along john? -I have yet to catch up on (now) old postings to see what i missed; i may try to do that now. I dont know if i will ever try to sell anything on ebay again. that i believe was the source of my computer malfunction, not ebay themselves of course, but a "seller". i tried selling my '58 edsel pacer so i could make some space, but ended up w/ a scammer. i recieved 3 money orders that added up to like 3 times the buy it now price w/ intructions to send extra money to a named "shipper". the envelope was post marked london, england; and of couse they weren't worth the paper they were printed on, so i ignored his emails and just accepted the momentary loss from ebay for posting it. Shortly after (w/in days) i noticed a definate drag on my computer, i imagine it was some sort of spyware. Rebooting from backup disc did not help, had to have another hard drive. at least the person that did it, done it cheap, i think he charged me only like 20 bucks or something. well i'm off to gloss over some of the older postings and watch some cartoons, talk to everyone later. --jeremy
