John Mahaffey dropeed a giant engine in SOME car, but obviously not your black one. Still, he could have been its previous owner.
As for RCA record player repairs, try looking at www.imperialpages.com. (I think I have that address right. If not , just Google Imperial Pages))

Also, if you are truly interested in tracing the ownership of the Sport Fury, please give us the name of the previous owner in Memphis. We could work our way backward from there.
Dan and I know of another black SF which was restored for an older couple (I think the pic and story is in the SF section in another part of 59SF site.)

Okay, I was wrong...the car I was thinking of (Norm Maenner's) is white.
john Mahaffey speaks of his 440-powered Viper-tranmissioned car, in the Showcase.
Now I'm not sure he bought George Dalinis" car...is John Mahaffey still a member of 59SF?
(Does he live in Memphis?)
