Ken Josephson of Las Vegas recently found this picture and put it on ForwardLook, which I e-mailed to Dan for posting here. Apparently he and his family visited St. Louis in 1964, during his childhood. Judging by its license plate, wasn't that 59 Suburban wagon a U. S. government staff vehicle? The slanting numbers on the left side of the license plate are a dead giveaway.

Look at the trim and the fin. The roof extension from the Suburban is actually the roof of the car behind it? It's more like a Belvy
