Axle replacement to new style for 59 Suburban?
Okay, I'm in the process of putting rear disc brakes and need to change to newer style (without the big nut on the end of the axle shaft). Anyone know what year/make/model axles I can use to replace the old axles? I haven't measured the lengths yet but know they are both the same length. And I haven't counted the splines, so don't know how many.
I'm stuck again, so any help is appreciated........I am learning A LOT about my Suburban. Ron

Well, I decided to go with new axles and had them made at Dutchman in Portland, OR. They turned out very nice for a reasonable $400 including new bearings. I think they'll give me more options for wheels to fit over the rear disc brakes are done too. Ron
