I'm back (sort of)
Hi everyone. How's all the gang here been? I've been busy, tried to move back to OK, but insurance was/is giving probs so i had to come back to cali to try to finish up. i will be around here for a little while, until i leave for OK again. hopefully by x-mas i'll be back home w/ batmobile. i've done a little tinkering with her, not much at all though. i spray- painted some white walls on. 
(it looks a little better now, lol) i beat the decklid and tail-light valance somewhat into submission. can't get it perfection yet, have to cut some creased and rusted sheet metal out of the decklid first, (need a welder for that, on my to-buy list) and when i get the decklid into proper shape and gap, i will finish the sheet metal right below it. what i never noticed before is the poor fit and finish of the body. i don't believe anything has been moved since she was born, but everything is off. the doors are too low or high. the deck lid is hard to gauge because of the collision damage, but the hood is the thing i am sweating the most. the cowl-hood gap is pretty close to right, it's definately straight, however, one fender is 1/4 " past and the other is 1/8"-3/16" back. the door gaps front to back look close, not sure where i will make up the difference at, but i have some time to think about it. I still have not been able to p/u my edsel a bought way back when. 
the day i was going to buy the trailer (likely the next day i was gonna make the trip) my truck starts making a horrible screaming sound. no warning, just when i slowed down and parked, there it was (gave my pa a ride to the shop to p/u his ford, which then he had to tow my chevy home with-lol. traced it to bearings, so i had to rebuild the engine, and by the time everything was said and done my savings was dangerously low. i was expecting money from insurance, which they denied me because of some issues i'm still trying to work out. dang ch**y! 
i'll sell it soon enough, of all times for it to lay down on the job! the owner of the edsel (well i'm technically the owner, so rather the possesser) has been super nice, and is still holding the car for me, but i know i don't have much longer left. I currently have a dog now too (part lab, golden retriever, and blue heiler). That's about all i've been up to. look forward to catching up w/ everyone--take care -- jeremy
