Still looking for good tail light housings!

Post by batmobile »

i've got a nice left side and extension, just recieved my nos right side extension today complements of e-pay. don't think i'll have any probs getting the lenses, but can't seem to find a nice driver right housing. i got a repairable r/s with the left side, which i also got off of e-bay, the chrome is nice, but it has several cracks in it like it was hit. so far i am gonna get out of paying to have stuff chromed (afraid if it's too purty, i won't be as inclined to drive it). so anybody have any leads on a right side housing, and lense frame? i won't be needing it for a while, but i would like my ducks in a row, so that i'll know if i need to scour the swap meets for stuff or not. i have almost found all the little trims parts i've been looking for, the internet is great. :D btw, i'm getting some sedan roof trim (should be anyways  ) anybody have any of the attaching hardware laying around or know where to get new ones? i do not even know what they look like yet. i know bigm's got some, but the trim is still on the 'ol fury. any help would be apprectiated. catch everyone later.--jeremy
There will be no bringing her back here, I'm selling this sh**hole and buying me a condo.

Just to be aware, Mopar made 2 different tailight housings to fit the '59 Plymouth. As a result the extension for one type will not fit the other type and vice versa. But if you happen to get a wrong extension for your housing you can make it fit by grinding (very carefully) a little peice of the pot metal INSIDE of the extension. Mine turned out to be a 99.5% fit and thats good enough for me. My book says - If your housing is stamped "HL", RIGHT extension # should be 2196345and LEFT extension # should be 2196344. If your housing is stamped GRB, RIGHT extension # should be 1879056 and LEFT extension # should be 1879057.
