The correct part number is 1381A, but it won't fit the '59 distributor -- you need to get one from a later model year. I took Dick Koch's advice, and got a NAPA rebuilt #483820, and cap MO13. (The Pertronix kit comes with a rotor.)

I'll let you know, Curt, how it works out -- my mechanic should be installing the kit in my rebuilt 318 this week (also being installed!).

Fellows,

if your are patient I will supply the desired information – pictures inclusive. At the moment I have a LA-Distributor and also the Pertronix Kit is installed. A cap arrived yesterday.
Before I can install the Pertronix I have to overhaul my 318, therefore it will take some time untill I can give you an idea about how it´s different to the point distributor.
I´ll keep you posted.
